Hey everyone! As you can tell by the title, this is another review. Up next is the Goody Simple Styles Spin Pin. I have purchased my own set of these in the past in the “Dark Hair,” and I was happy to receive another pair from Influenster in Beauty Bloggers VoxBox. Before I even get into the review, I just want you all to know that these are my holy grail product when it comes to buns. You will see why, below. Let’s jump into the review, shall we?
Goody Simple Styles Spin Pin
Product Info: The Spin Pin does the work of 20 bobby pins! Easily achieve chic updo styles; simply twirl your hair up and spin the Spin Pins in for a perfect top knot, undone bun and side bun!
Steps:
1. Gather your hair at the nape of your neck (no ponytail holder needed)
2. Twist your hair into a tight bun and tuck in the ends
3. Spin one pin in from the top and the other from the base, taking care not to interlock pins.

Pros:
- I like that the Spin Pins do not rip out your hair. I cannot tell you the countless times that I’ve had the bulb at the end of regular bobby pins come out in my hair, thus making it difficult to remove and pulls out my hair as a result. The bulbs on these are smooth and melded with the rest of the pin.
- I love that I don’t have to use 10+ bobby pins to hold down my hair. I sometimes love wearing a phony pony as a quick protective style for my hair and I find that I can just use the Spin Pins to do the job of 10+ bobby pins. Not only is my hair held better, but it doesn’t take long for me to put my hair up. I like that it takes me only a minute to get my hair up and out of the way using these pins.
- The package the Spin Pins comes in has instructions in it for how to use the pins, and I really like that it does. On the back of the package, you will see a 3-step instruction guide on how to make a messy bun with these. There are two more looks on the paper the pins are attached so don’t throw it away!
- I haven’t encountered this problem personally, but from what I’ve read, these pins hurt to take out when you have crossed them. On the instruction guide, Goody informs you no to interlock your spin pins. I have done this three times and my way to combating any pain is to untwist the pins one at a time, going in the opposite direction of which I put them in. Be careful though; you don’t want cause yourself any trouble with these.
