30 Day Blog Challenge: Day 5

Hey y’all! Today’s topic is “Your day in great detail.” You may need a snack for this one, lol. Let’s get right into it.

My sleepy eyes open to the vision of darkness. By the grace of God, I am awoken from my slumber, fresh off of a dream I cannot remember. As always, I reach my hand out for my phone (that should’ve been on the charger, but oh well) and look grugdingly at the time: 6:39. Great, I thought, I can sleep for an hour before I have to really get up. Throwing my phone to the side, I enter my light sleep cycle, awaiting for the time when I have to get to prepare myself and my niece for church.

I awake for the second time around 7:20 and grab my phone once more. It’s my time to get up, but I refuse. See, my bed and I have a thing going on. It doesn’t want to let me go. I browse on my phone, heading to Instagram and Facebook. I see a report about Tamar Baxton being fired from The Real, and even though I don’t watch the show, I went straight to TheShadeRoom’s page to do some research and read some comments. That got boring after a while, and after a visit from my Mama, I get out of bed and begin my morning.

I’m sure I don’t have to go into detail about my morning routine (haha), but after it was completed, I got my niece ready by finishing up her hairstyle that I started the night before, and sent her on her way. Today is Worship Sunday, and we have to look spiffy for church. After my niece was taken care of, I did a light makeup look, fixed my hair, and got dressed. It was time to head off to church.

After a great service, and socializing with my church family, my fiancĂ©, niece, and I head home to change out of our “good clothes” and go get fast food. That after church hunger is real y’all! Upon returning home, we are greeted with the wonderful smells of Thanksgiving in May. Listen…it’s always appropriate to eat my Mama’s dressing throughout the year. We sit and talk with my parents for a while before heading out to McDonald’s. While I would have liked Zaxby’s, I’m working with a budget. McDonald’s worked out just fine. My fiancĂ© and I eat our food (niece wasn’t hungry) as we head home.

The day goes back slowly once we return. Preparations for taking my aunt a plate of delicious food has been postponed until tomorrow, and we decided to laze around the house. I decided it would be a good idea to try some DIY beauty treatments, like waxing my legs (too painful with wine in my system lol), but that ended quickly. I decided it would be cool to practice on my brush lettering. I wrote out a few letters and names,  before placing down my pens and paper to type up this blog post.

This was pretty much my day in a nutshell. I didn’t do too much after this. I hope you enjoyed this small snippet of my day. I also hope that this post finds you in health, love, and blessings!
